Accessibility statement
Our goal is that everyone can use Maxx. This is what we aim for, what we have done, and where we fall short.
Our goal
Maxx aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This matters for the European Accessibility Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and most of all for the people who use it.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard, with visible focus, and has a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields. Dialogs trap focus and return it when closed.
- Many status changes (such as a scan finishing, a payment settling or a message arriving) are announced to screen readers through live regions.
- Light and dark themes, and text that scales. Layouts adapt from phone to desktop without sideways scrolling.
- Motion respects your device’s reduced-motion setting, and a pause button turns animation off at any time.
- Nothing relies on colour alone to convey meaning.
Known limitations
- Maxx has not yet had a formal audit by an external accessibility specialist or testing with a range of assistive technologies. Treat the claims above as our intent and our own checks.
- The negotiation chat updates live and can be busy for screen reader users. A saved conversation can be read in full after a Bloc ends.
- The PayPal approval window is provided by PayPal and follows PayPal’s own accessibility.
- Charts such as the group demand curve have a text equivalent, but it is less detailed than the chart.
